“I believe myself to be a Ukrainian and want to therefore do good for my homeland.
“I believe in our nation’s being and want to extend the sense of it throughout our native land, like a good and wise husbandman, while respecting and preserving every other culture that has been born here on this land.
“I believe that I belong to the great Ukrainian people, to their thousand-year symbols, history and fate, towards which I feel personal responsibility, because it affects my life and the lives of my children and grandchildren.
“I believe in and honor our state and have put personal effort into strengthening it and ensuring a prosperous life for our nation, my fellow citizens and our families.
“I believe in our capacity to jointly reach great goals.”
